A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Georgian Society of Cardiovascular Perfusion (GSCP) and the Georgian Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (GSAIC), marking an important step toward strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration in cardiovascular, perioperative, and intensive care in Georgia.
The agreement reflects a shared commitment to advancing clinical practice, education, and research, with a particular focus on patient safety, quality improvement, and the implementation of contemporary European and international standards.
Recognising the inherently interdisciplinary nature of cardiovascular care, the two societies aim to foster structured cooperation between perfusionists, anaesthesiologists, and intensive care specialists.
The MoU also establishes a framework for future joint initiatives, including educational activities, professional development programs, and collaborative projects that will contribute to improving patient outcomes and strengthening the healthcare system in Georgia.
